swheat! (pronounced 'sweet!') is more than a wheatgrass shot.
Who are we?
We are you. We are people like you who want to be healthier and want to make something meaningful of our lives. We are people who are working to nourish our own lives and at the same time nourish the lives of others. We are a social enterprise, which means that anyone can become involved and benefit by contributing to the goal of nourishing people around the world. swheat! is best described as an acronym; Sustainable-Wellbeing(for)-Humanity(&)-Environment (by)-Acting-Together!
swheat! has grown from a great idea for a healthy little drink into a movement of people working together towards a healthier lifestyle. Along the way different paths have been explored and thoughts have become actions. We are now working towards our main goal of bringing sustainable wellbeing to people through cooperation with nature.
What are we doing?
We are doing whatever we can to make daily nourishment as easy and convenient as possible. Our aim is to make a swheat! shot as conveniently available as a bottle of water.
We strive to leave the smallest footprint possible on our environment and at the same time make sure that people have access to nourishment wherever they live or work, regardless if they have “time” or not.
We are also in the early stages of setting up a program so that each swheat! shot purchased contributes to nourishing those less fortunate than us. Keep on checking our swheat! cause section for updates.
Why are we doing it?
Because nourishing ourselves should be sustainably accessible for everyone. No matter how much we promise ourselves and others to take better care of ourselves and the environment, we have a hard time doing so unless we feel support. By nourishing ourselves, nourishing others and nourishing the idea of being able to make a difference, we believe that we can all feel empowered to change world nutrition for the better.
This is our ultimate goal, and a very ambitious one, but we cannot see why we should aim for anything less.
Swheat! cause
We are in the early stages of starting a nurturing program with a village in Nepal, situated in the Kathmandu Valley, and also looking into supporting the Asfa Yemiru school in Addis Abeba in Ethiopia. Two projects close to heart and places where we think we can make a difference. Stay tuned and check for updates in our cause to nurture our fellow human beings.

The Drink
A swheat!-shot is a ‘single gulp’ wellbeing & vitality drink packed with nutrient rich greens and pro-life ingredients. Available in a ‘Ready-to-drink’ 50ml biodegradable shot cup.

swheat! is a delicate blend of some of the best super foods we can get our hands on, put together for wellbeing and vitality. It is completely free from chemicals and preservatives, in fact one of the jobs it serves is to help counteract the chemicals and toxins that may occur in the food we eat. swheat! is a convenient way to get a much needed, quick shot of natural goodness every day.
Ingredients
Green side: rehydrated earth-grown wheatgrass juice 66%, banana puree, guava puree, apple juice, passion fruit juice, spirulina 165mg, green tea 125mg
Orange side: orange juice, apple puree, mango puree, apple juice, root extracts (ginger 60mg, ginseng 20mg), beta-carotene, vitamin c

What we can also do is share some of the benefits that people have reported from drinking swheat!. These include; more energy, improved immune system, clearer brighter eyes, more radiant skin, improved mind function, reduced stress levels, and a happier disposition in general.
The packaging
The shot cup is made from a PLA biodegradable material derived from corn-starch. PLA is a new generation of biodegradable and compostable bio-plastics that are derived from renewable raw materials (eg. corn, potato, tapioca etc). These materials are not hazardous in production and decompose back into carbon dioxide, water and biomass when discarded. Make sure that the cup is placed with your food waste and not in the recycling bin.
The rate of biodegration is dependent upon the composition and thickness of the material as well as composting conditions. Industrial composting times vary from 3-6 months and home composting times vary from 6-12 months.
The lid is made from aluminum and the outer packaging is made from cardboard and can be recycled as long as they are placed in the recycling bin.

the swheat! team has over the last months grown and we have been blessed with some really swheat! new team members. Justin (smooth-operator) is now our man on the road, out and about spreading the swheat!love. So keep your eyes open, he is smooth, sleek and you might just end up with a shot in your hand if he comes close. David (the gun), has been a key player in the expansion of swheat! on the NSW east coast, he knows his way around the area and seem to have the ability to make anyone crave a swheat shot. New biodegradable packaging
Great news for all of us. After some time and a lot of effort we are now very proud to bring you swheat! in the biodegradable material PLA. "Polylactic Acid Plastic" is a compostable plastic derived from corn starch and is part of a new generation plastics commonly referred to as Bioplastics. After just over two months we are now seeing real progress. We are getting some really good feedback from all you out there and more and more shops are starting to stock swheat! every day. After sampling days at Speedo's Cafe in North Bondi, Temple Gym in Edgecliff, Metcafe in the CBD and many others the word is beginning to spread. Our friends at Wholefoods house, both in Woollahra and Waterloo, have seen an increased interest and this is just the beginning. Thank you all for your support.

We have teamed up with American Apparel in developing parts of the swheat! clothing label. The first edition of “swheat!shirts” are coming in September 2008 and will be available as V-neck and round-neck T-shirts plus singlet-tops for the girls. They are part of American Apparel’s Sustainable Edition shirts and made from 100% organic cotton. Stay tuned…

After spending almost a year on research and development, the NEW swheat! shot is now ready for the Australian market. The new swheat! shot is more that a wheatgrass shot! It is a delicate mix of some of the best super foods we can get our hands on. 4 months ago Petter Lundmark joined the team, he is now working at the swheat! head office and co-piloting swheat! ventures with Alex Isaiu. We were also blessed with the assistance of Michel Von Tourchaninoff and Joris Van Imhoff in developing artwork and web experience.
